Every Last Minute

I know I should take it as a compliment, but it sure makes our day longer. Our guests tend to take every last minute to vacate their rooms. And then they want to chat!

Just a small vent on a slow news day smiley

My checkout time is 11:00. I've been surprised at how many people roll their bags out the front door and load the car at 10:57. I guess it's a compliment that they want to stay as long as they can.

I'm often across the street in my sister's store, watching for them to leave, so there's no chatting involved.

By the way, as long as this is a "small vent" thread, I'll complain that someone stole the laminated TV guide card out of one apartment the other day, so I had to make another one. Not a big deal, but took about 7 minutes I'd rather have spent doing something else!

I was sweating it out this morning. I told mine (after they asked) that check-out was 11 but today I was not going to be in a tizzy about it. THEN I get a text asking me to unlock the log house for a film crew at noon.  I still need to run the card. Bless their hearts, they came down at 11:45 got the card and was at the house before the film crew arrived. Changed my ringtone and missed the call for the lock-up. Just got back from that. Changed ringtone back to what it was. Duh! Do not change tones just because you can, Kathleen!

yup, it's the small stuff that's annoying. It's going to happen and nothing you can do about it. I figure when something small like that disappears, it wasn't intentional. Probably got mixed up with their stuff and got packed.

Did I mention the guests who stripped the bed of all the sheets and put the duvet down and slept on that? Of course, they needed blankets at that point so they stripped the other bed for the blankets.

I almost went thru the roof.

My complaint for a slow news day.

Some of our guests were gone before I got up. Others changed their plans and decided to stay for breakfast even tho we weren't planning for them. And the remaining 3 rooms left without eating or bothering to tell us they weren't eating.

More bacon for me!!!
