Today a guy (I think it was the guy of the couple) managed to bleed on the top sheet, bottom sheet, matelasse, comforter, bath rug, bath mat and bath towel.
I think I am going to put out a votive candle glass of band aids in every room.

Good grief. Did he say anything? Can you get it all out or will you have to replace. Good thing it didn't make it through to the mattress.
I have first aid kit in every room.

It's all out, but it's made a havoc of my day trying to get it all in the washing machine in reasonable time. Nope, no comments on the way out.

Do you get Hazard Pay?

What a maroon

Just curious, what precautions do people take with respect to possibility of blood-born pathogens?

None. If it was a pool of blood, then I'd put on gloves (I wear glasses to clean anyway).

That thought went through my head as I was cleaning away. I've never heard of anyone contracting a blood borne disease in a laundry. I suppose there's a first time for everything. On the bright side, then I'd have my 10 minutes of fame!

And a perfect finale on this all time record ;-)

I agree - pools would wear gloves and the same for vomit as is recommended
If its more speckles we use an industrial laundry service - so stuffed into one of their bags asap, their staff wear gloves all the time and it goes out of the bag straight into a huge washer like a cement mixer - they deal with nursing homes and all sorts so they have all that covered
