Or do the two have nothing to do with each other?

Our logo background is a strip from a lovely seascape watercolor that was painted for us.  So what you see on our logo and site is what guests see when they lift their head...Sunrise sky, ocean, marsh....mostly blue green, white and warm golden yellow. Each page on our  website incorporates a different strip of the same painting.  So yes, the colors on our web site reflect the serenity, mood and views from our B+B.

Yes, our colors on the website are based on our branding colors (t-shirts, mugs, stationary, etc.), not necessarily colors that are in the rooms.

Our roof is a brick red color, so is the background on our present website, it may stay on the new version, or go to green.  The developer has lovely examples of where green was used with charming fonts and nature-themed graphics.  Haven't got there yet.  Have to do the photos and copy first.  Getting there.  I'm halfway through this week's paperwork mountain.  Web work next!

Yes.  Our main color is blue.  I think it means sea, sky and relaxation.

The website green matches the trim on my house but I don't think that's what you meant.
