marketing idea! possible pay off

Well, I had a 'last minute' idea (sometimes these are good...)
I printed off postcards (at midnight!!!) to hand out to trick or treaters advertising our "Sugar Plum Tea" and that Tickets are available for sale now. Then we dressed up in our 'nutcracker costumes' and got ready!
All the kids and parents took one (one little girl was sooo excited to have a picture of 'the nutcracker' she squealed with delight and went running to her mommy saying "the nutcracker!!!" it was so adorable!!
We had one "DAD" come back about 30 minutes later and ask for a "HANDFUL" of our post cards to give out and to tell people about it. He was so excited about it!
So.... last minute.... pays off sometimes...

One year at a trunk or treat thingy I brought a case of mismatched indiv soaps/shampoos from the B&B - older ones with our logo and name on them, and the girls gathered round to get that treat! No business from it, but it was fun.
