What the heck is this? I got an email from this biz telling me a got a review on TA and here's what I should do about it. The review is MONTHS old and something has already been done about it. A heck of a lot of good it does in Nov to get an alert about something that happened over the summer!
Anyone else getting this?
Given they say they are a business that alerts you when there are comments about you on the internet (hello, Google alerts) I would guess they will get an alert about this thread.

Trip Advisor is now calling me silly for not forking over for the business listing. They are calling and emailing me with a personal consultant.
I mentioned I am not interested and why, Thank you but no thank you:
Then another reply, of course...
Thanks for that JB.
I appreciate you explaining the reasoning.
For your information and knowledge your property had very high traffic this month and last. You are missing a great chance to gather more NEW customers and new travelers.

Since TA already sends an alert when you get a review, this biz doesn't have much purpose, in addition to being months late with their "alert".

I tried the business listing a couple of years ago when they offered a reduced rate but dumped it within a month and a half because of the low number of click throughs. They got me for six months this past year after another reduced rate offer and I stayed with it through the term because of far better click throughs and comments from guests they found us there. I got the phone calls with the offers of reduced rates to extend but didn't take them up on it due to knowing I would be changing our online booking service and making room in the budget for that. I'll see how it goes and might re-up, but not at this time.
