Last night we attended a holiday party given by the local innkeepers' association. One innkeeper held it at his place which has a restaurant open to the public. We sat down to a five course meal with choices of two for each course. I had salad, mushroom bruchetta, lobster risotto with squid ink, stuffed chicken breast and apple crisp. The hubby went with the steak and chocolate mousse. It was incredible.
And when our guest ask us to recommend a restaurant, you can bet his name will be the first mentioned.
Smart guy.

We get free dinners at a couple of restaurants in town. Yes, the food is good and the service as well so sure we're going to mention them first!
We always save one GC up for our anniversary.

we have just had one of our favourite local restaurants eaten in by Marco Pierre white - twice this week.
His first Kitchen porter job was in Harrogate at the hotel down the street from us - he comes back now and again to see his old general manager - but for him to pick and eat in a place twice in a week shows its good - not that I didn't know that already lol

Absolutely! "you scratch my back, I scratch yours" :).
We recommend the restaurants in town that we like. We had one we never went to in all our years here - don't know why or didn't until I met the owner. None of my restaurants has ever given me anything. I just want to keep the money in town.
