hey, cooks. i bought the ready to bake gingerbread cookie dough (another crime today, not doing from scratch ... sssshhhh) ... i don't have a gingerbread man cookie cutter so i downloaded an outline to make one for tracing with a knife. it would have been great if it came with one! i haven't made gingerbread cookies in forever (if ever) does this kind of cookie stay about the same size when baked? it doesn't say on the package.
and maybe it's time to ask for a recipe for the real thing?
thanks!

They basically stay the same size. Altho, given the way you phrased the question... ;-)

I thought you were referring to a couple of innkeepers here for a moment. I won't say anything else...

They should "slightly" contract if you over pulled the dough, but then they "slightly" expand as the liquids relax. The end result is that they stay about the same size. These aren't matzo balls :)

yikes!
i have no experience with matzo balls. and madeline ...

Boy that one went way over my head. You people are too smart for me.

Sorry SS ...... my VERY dubious sense of humour had me giggling as soon as I read your question.
