My DW wants us to slow down a little this year on some of the packages we offer. I have some things we need to catch up on and I need some extra time to do them. So we are limiting the size of weddings and pkgs. We offer massages and even though I do not do them, they do take up a lot of time booking them and going back and forth with our massage therapist. I was wondering if anyone knows of someway to have a calendar that the therapist can update and guests could see when times are available for massages? She does not have a website and I don't think she wants one. But it is a service that is well liked but I am tired of doing on the foot work for this. Any suggestions?

Ask John if there is a calendar you can put on add-ons for massage availability (if you have ResKey).
Take your wife's advice - it is ONLY money and you currently have in your family reminders of how unimportant that is in reality. Make the massage therapist responsible for her bookings - have her agree to put her phone number on the package if massage is wanted and they book it direct. I KNOW from experience how difficult it is to coordinate guest/therapist appointments. Not worth the effort to me (but I did not take a cut from it either ).

She could set up a Google calendar and share it with you and you could post on your site. But why not just have everyone work directly with her and then you don't need to be the middle man. That will save you tons of time. The one here that does visits...prefers they just call her directly.

How many massages do you have there? That would determine the amount of time spent on it imo. If it is not substantial, and doesn't incur more revenue for you, then have them contact the person themselves before booking. Eliminate the package.

Google calendar. You can add it to your website on your massages page and the masseuse can be given access to make updates to the calendar.

Bob, I think you are on ResKey... If you haven't maxed out your subscription (e.g. adding another "room" bumps you up to the next level), maybe you can adapt GH's suggestion without bugging John, just by adding another "room" that is massage availability, create a dedicated res page for it, create a user account on ResKey for your therapist that only has access to this one "room"... maybe you can see where this is going.
Hmm. just thinking out loud, maybe another approach would be to make a massage "fraction" for each of your existing rooms? Not fully thought out yet.... This is all only worth it if the massage package bring sufficient revenue that you want to keep it but are just trying to streamline the work involved.

Isn't he asking about avail with the therapist? Not on his site, but for THEM to be up to date, they cannot go into HIS rezkey to update it. Not sure if this is on the same wave length?

The therapist could update his/her availability on Bob's reskey IF Bob gives them access to do so. I know he can create a user account within his reskey, and I'm sure he can limit what that user account has access to. Thus (if his subscription has the capacity), he could create a "room" that track's the therapist's availability, and then give the therapist access to update that "room" (and only that room). It's under the Settings tab, "User Settings," and then "Add User".....

why bother doing all that with res key just for a massage. simpler let her use a google calendar

But if he does it with ResKey, it presumably would be possible to automate the reservation of the package, without him having to intervene at all. ALthough it just occurs to me that if the therapist uses Google Calender, it might be possible to have the iCal export link from Google drive the availability in ResKey, without having to have the therapist log in to ResKey.... The trick would be to turn it around somehow so that reservations for the massage made through Bob's ResKey reservation system in turn update the therapists Google Calender (requiring a two-way sync). Just thinking out loud again....

What the!
As Ice says "Are you kiddin' me?" A third party person access, period, no way no how. The person can either supply a calendar on any format, ie google docs, etc or not get the business. That is what I would do. Without a ton of these being requested, 86 the whole package.
This is the year of ...what was it we decided on? Dang I can't recall now...oh it was a draw (click here)

Some innkeepers here give the contact info for the therapist and have the guest contact them directly. cuts out all the work, don't need to keep a calendar.
