Wandering around in a big box store looking for help. Sales associate comes along and we start chatting. What did she used to do? She used to run Seashanty's B&B years after SS left! This was after it was sold again. (Which sale caused a fair amount of hate & discontent in the town.) Now, again, 3rd time since SS left, it's under new ownership.
And I found a possible innsitter into the bargain!

Wow! That's what you get from chatting. When I'm in stores, I keep my head down, never make eye contact for fear I'll run into someone who knows me, and I won't know them from Adam!

THAT is when you look them in the eye and with big smile and wide, welcoming eyes say, 'Hi! How is everything in your world?"
Did that at a Conference in October. She responded with what was going on, doing some filming in the Eastern Panhandle. We parted company with her thinking I knew her. Since I could not place her in the Eastern Panhandle, I asked the person she had been siting next to (who I DID know) who was that? After she told me, instead of going back to my room as I said I was going to do, I waited for her to return to confess I did not recognize her - I confessed that when I was told, I replied the last time I saw her she was at least 200 pounds heavier! She corrected me - it was 250! THAT was something to remark about. Oh, had she still been that heavy I would have realized the filming is what she does - head of the WV Film Office. On most occasions though, the smile, how are you works like a charm.

The woman I met worked for lb. It's when it sold that she left. I think the new people are running it themselves. I haven't even looked at the website.
She was showing me pix on her phone that the new owners want for the website.
