There is a new brewery coming to our county, the first brewery actually, as you know we are in moonshine country, so people aren't really focused on beer. They named it after a mountain (which of course we don't have any mountains here) that was a joke... Cahas. People have different ways of pronouncing this mountain, depending on what part of the county you live in. (This is Cahas below)

So after saying is so many times it began to sound like Chaos to them, and then they decided chaos is brewing, sounded kind of cool, so that is the name.
On the same note. You know those people who drift in life...we all have a family member, relative or friend who is a "free spirit" and seemingly drifts through life, like a beach ball at a Beach Boys concert, bouncing to and fro back and forth from whatever or whomever hits them. In other words, they are reactive, vs proactive.
Well 2014 appears to be the Chaos is Brewing year for us:
From the first cruise ship catching fire, we (yea silly couple trying to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary) re-book and are fortunate to get the norovirus. Turn the ship around, come back early, oh and we got there in a snow storm...I won't go into that now.
We get home and notice a room has been broken into and a TV and iPad charger/player stolen.
We find mickeys beer on the stoop that next day, set up our critter cam, call the police to report the theft, in case there is a brash of break-ins in the area...
Mickeys cheap nasty college-dorm type beer actually belongs to a guest, whowouldathunkit. He goes into another guest room and places it outside on the landing of the stairs, instead of using the guest fridge. On top of it all is here to look at purchasing this B&B. We have to call him after they check out just in case it is theirs, as we have two daughters here, and we are looking out for them. YES it is theirs. What a weird call. This is why we always keep guest room doors locked. We left the keys in the door so they could explore some more. We would like to sell the inn, but who knows, maybe they weren't even here to buy it at all. People can say anything, right? Then they get the grand tour of ALL OF THE PROPERTY including our innkeeper quarters...ugh
Psycho woman places a charge-back from the psycho ny's eve show we had here.
We had to take down our lightning struck tree for a few thousand bucks in our off season, place an ad in craig's list for the wood, amidst all the doom and gloom and end of the world - since we name snow-storms now and fear monger in the media - no one is interested. We had one call from a gal who asked what sort of truck WE DELIVER IT IN. Uh, no.
Today someone is out taking the wood, helping themselves. What the!
When did we become the drifters, the free spirits? When did we lose control?
PS I actually saw the above image when I was at the local funeral parlor a couple of years ago, they lifted it from our website and were using it. Yeah, really...
Have a great day. (PS nothing is forlorn here, it is actually funny to me, I can laugh at this sort of stuff) :)

Did you talk to them about using the photo? I sure would. Nicely of course, but you would be surprised at the number of people who think if a photo is on line, they can just grab it and use it. That's why it is good to do some sort of watermark if you can do it without hurting the look of the photo.

What's that old saying we had in the 80's? "Don't let the turkeys get you down!"
There seems to be some times in life where nothing is simple or easy. You've had a doozy of that lately! You've got the right attitude though! You can take comfort in knowing that you're surrounded by family & friends that make it all worthwhile.
Hang in there, those turkeys will wind up being devoured by someone's family dinner and you'll walk away full and happy!

I'm trying to install new bedside lighting. Wanted to go to the warehouse store but someone left with the car keys. Guests arriving really late and didn't acknowledge the self check-in instructions at all. Parent is in hospital, month 5. Living room looks like the Grateful Dead has a concert in here, yesterday. The coffee thermos died. And I don't see a quiet weekend until my death.
It's Tuesday.

Im always super careful what I use - I have full permission from Harrogate Theatre to use certain of their logo's (in writing) Ie I will write a blog article of whats on or information about a particular play will use the logo and make sure there is a very prominent link to their web site - this benefits us all, we have been working together for 4 years so they know I am not writing anything that is not in their interest - also I usually send them a link so they can have a look if they want also.
The BBC good food show actually got in touch with me directly because of my blog and asked me to blog, tweet and facebook about their event and they would supply a press release, logo and pictures for me to use - happy to!
I know how you feel JB though you get one job done and 10 more fill its place! got lights changed down to the breakfast room - now the wall needs redecorating and so it goes on!

Did you see my person facebook. I'm posting pictures of ____ ____ to lift my spirits, daily.
I got the mirrors back glued. I got two of the five lights installed. I have to clean up after that and start to think about the next two lights. Damn blue screws didn't work. (Blue screws = masonry). I predrilled and everything. I ended up putting in plastic anchors that will hopefully hold. (My outside walls are plaster on brick.)

To JB and all of us who are feeling the effects of this long winter. Here's one of the first flash mobs done at Macy's in Philadelphia, which had formerly been Wanamacker's. People knew there would be an organ concert. They have one every week, but they weren't expecting this. Hope it cheers you!

I told you I live a boring life! All I do is get the snow and ice cleared so DH can get TO the cat tomorrow for his doctor apt (canceled twice already due to weather).
