when i send out my obviously ' not to just one person' newsletter I try to write it to one person. use singular pronouns, etc.

I am surprised when I get back a reply from someone who corrects me by letting me know we talked about that topic in person.

yes, some readers take it very personally.

one person who signed up emailed back to remind me they had never been here. ok, I would not know that!

I would say there are more that are pushing it. Agreed.

I get that part! I keep getting email from some group that comes thru as 'look who's connected'. I keep marking it as spam. no idea who it is but they never introduced themselves, just added me to some stupid list.

and the people who call me because they are 'reaching out'... don't get my money or my time either. jargon heads. they got a list and they're just running thru it.

i must have missed something. it seemed what he said was what not to do - don't be like everyone else, instead go the extra mile. but not really how to create anything. maybe I took it too literally.
