Sheesh, recipes galore for Oscar parties?! Has anyone here ever been to an Oscar party?

You are not the only one who doesn't care. Altho, I will be looking at all the dresses tomorrow!

Count me in-do not care even about the dresses

My nephew is attending his first Oscar awards. His parents mother is very excited. The studio he works for doesn't have any blockbusters this year, so that's why they have an extra ticket to give him. Honestly, I still haven't decided if I'll watch or not.

Oscars? What Oscars?

Do not give a rat's butt. Not even slightly interested in the "almost" dresses.

There was absolutely nothing else on...so I watched it all to the bitter end. I wanted to see what Ellen would do. Love her..but last night..not so much.

It's no fun to watch the Oscars when I haven't seen any of the movies. I spent yesterday afternoon, evening/night watching Dexter DVDs and season 2 of Mad Men.
Maybe today I'll switch to season 2 of House of Cards because we have 3" of sleet on the ground and roads and I'm sure my guests due in tonight will not show, though they haven't e-mailed yet.

We used to host an Oscar party every year. But at the time we lived in California, where the Oscars started at 5:30 not 8:30, so people could actually attend. We got dressed in our finest clothes and served caviar and champagne. It was fun. I think we did it for 5 or 6 years. Then it got less fun. That was over 20 years ago. Last night, I sat down with a glass of wine and a bowl of popcorn to watch Ellen. Who doesn't love Ellen? (I hadn't seen any of the movies. My hubby had see Gravity.)

No I don't care either. I didn't even watch. My life is too full for that I guess.

I have guests due tomorrow. She made the rez yesterday and she has in her Confirmation Letter from me - This reservation only, if canceled with a call on Tuesday morning due to weather conditions, there will be NO cancel fees.
