Anyone ever post their inn on Craigslist under vacation rentals? Seems like it would get the attention of folks in the city looking to get away for the weekend. We've had 4 or 5 of those in the past couple weeks.
If you have posted (and I'm betting most of you haven't) what was the response?
Any good stories? Horror stories?

You can post on eBay as well, but there are stipulations. Sold a couple that way around Christmas time a few years back.

Tried. Around here it's mostly scams and illegal deals via Craigslist. The scams usually offer great deals on non-existant homes.
I tried eBay a long time ago. Sold one deal. They eventually claimed, years after the deal expired. Waste of my time.

I haven't but some friends with cottages had great luck. Your market is close to mine...give it a try and let me know how it goes. I think it is a good bet for last minute vacancies.

OK, I've just created an ad on CL. We'll see how it goes. This is free, right?

hey that was a homophone...oh brother, that didn't look right... not a homonym, or phobe, you know what I mean!

In our area only illegal or cheap rooms list on CL. My filling is you would only get bargain hunters.
