This is just plain odd.

No one is taking your poll because we don't know who you are or if you're trying to sell us something. Give us more information about YOU.

No I am not trying to sell anything. I am just looking for advice.

Do you own a b&b? You can stay anonymous here, but tell us some generic things about you and your property.

Ok, Ethel, I really wanted to play.  I am in the middle of a whole gut kitchen remodel and wanted to help you out, but I need more information.

Can you fill in some blanks?  How big a job?  Are the upper cabinets a different color?  are you in the woods or by a lake or ocean?  Or in the city?  How old is the house?  are you an antique collector or a contemporary type?

We have a small L shaped kitchen. Upper cabinets are not of different color. We are in the city and our home is about  8 years old.  I am contemporary type.

It may not be a design forum, but I just desiged a kitchen and happen to enjoy amature design, so I'll jump in.   White lends itself to contemporary and classic.   Top with black granite or even more fun, a countertop made of recycled glass with red and yellow glass flecks in it.

One very contemporary choice is a sleek grey.   I've even seen red cabinets.   And with a l-shape, you can add a big butcher block island for a traditional/warm contrast to the contemporary/cool cabinets.

Ah, this is the problem then. This is not a design forum. I think you're posting in the wrong place. If you still want to try to get advice here, post a photo of the kitchen so we can see it. Hard to make a color choice without seeing what things look like.

Are  you a B & B owner, manager?  I mean most folks who come here to post usually tell us about themselves a bit..before they just jump in. That is why we are so suspicious of your posting.
