Exactly what I was thinking. LOL

The bulleted list in the newscast and the story text say 2 different things.

I just zeroed in on the headline text "bed and breakfast brewing" and expected a video on beer making. What a nice niche somebody should come up with: a beer brewing package for a B&B.

Look AirBnB knows fully that many of the businesses are illegal. In fact they specifically help people to hide. The words "racketeering" come to mind. They should ask people straight up... "Do you have a local licence?" And areas where you do need a licence, it should ask for the licence number. Outside of the US and the EU they don't provide tax information to the government at all and aid in tax cheating. They suggest that serving breakfast is fine when in almost all jurisdictions it is entirely forbidden. And then there is the whole collecting commission on government taxes from those that are legal thing.

This is brewing up to soon overflow throughout the country. It hit the big city to the south of us about 2 years ago. Neighbors in one community called the local news to talk about the 'strangers' that were coming and going from a couple properties near them. Saw a couple of newscasts and articles. (it was discussed here too)
The big city has made some law changes and requires anyone renting rooms short term to become licensed. I did not go to the forms to know all the details of what hoops they have to jump but they do pay a fee to be licensed. The city also has a page devoted to showing all the legal places in the city. They have come a long way. But we all know there will still be some people that will try to skirt the system. Hard to police it all in a big city.

My thoughts exactly! Our son thought of this as well, at least a package during October would be fun.
