Got a reservation from this company for a guest staying 6 weeks. Their email says they charge us a10% commission. WTH???
We don't even have availability for the time they say they have booked her.
The email says to 'click here to log in'. I don't have an account for this company and I'm not clicking anything.
Their phone is answered by a machine saying to email them or leave a message there is no one there to answer the phone.
Their email was in my spam folder where it belongs. Never would have found it except the guest called us because the dates were wrong.
Instant world booking.

Yeah.... well, you didn't authorize them, so send them back saying "Sorry, we don't have an affiliation with you".

Yes, heard of them and all the other plethora of them that hit my inbox every day or week, and have for 10,000 years... they are relentless.
If it is a real person who is doing this, then I will share it here. If it is an unknown, and spam and not worth replying lest they get a bite on the end of their hook, and you know what HOOKS do right?

REALLY?? You believe a 6 week reservation..come on ...you know better ;-)

you need to get hold of this world booking place and tell them to get your site off their site ... they show you as having rooms at rates from $70 to $100. and i can click to request a reservation. how is this possible?

My guess is they did a screen grab 20 years ago and it's been out there ever since.

site looks really sketchy. all i can find is a better business bureau rating of F but no real info. ugh

What gets me is how do you find this site if you don't already know about it? Where does it show up? What kind of search do you do to find it in the first place?
It's so sketchy it shouldn't show up at all!

if you google bed and breakfast traveler it redirects to their site and uses that name. i had to check backlinks to find them. really, as you say, how would someone actually find that site and try to book through it?

The adventure continues... Company claimed we do have an account with them and then blamed us for them canceling the guest's reservation.
Luckily, guest is keeping us in the loop on all their correspondence with the company.

Ask them to show you the signed documentation, the date and time of sign up.

They have emailed back with dates when we accessed the account and made changes. Not me pal.

So, point out that the inn had been sold with those people and that they don't have any agreement with you. And let them strike you off the list.
Seriously? They can't imagine that your rates haven't changed in 10 years, can they?
