A feed from your blog...
There is some scum sucking mule acting like a chamber website and using our blog as a feed for the info. ie when you search for scenic flights in our area, it pulls our page.
I got off the phone with him, he has 64 of these faux chamber websites, he is a complete moron. He spoke to me in the worst way "This is the flights website" SEE THAT BIG HOUSE WITT THE WORDS CHBB ACROSS IT? That is our blog.
If you go to google, he said... I wont go into the detail, I went in while he was investigating it, and DELETED the article he was drawing from. I told him as such and told him he better stop doing it.
Meanwhile, is there a way to set it so people can't do this, or will it do more harm than good? I know people use the RSS to feed into their readers, like google reader for their daily news, etc. I really don't want to lose that. I have alerted the REAL chamber Pres and webmaster, in case they are unaware of this blood sucking maggot.
He obv uses a search term that generated the feed to our page. I don't want to waste time on it, someone called, twice now, and are finding us THERE. The article was 2009.

I went in to

other
and set NON for blog feed. I had it set to FULL which was how it showed the whole blog. At least this will stop this dufus for now.

As many of you I have been inundated with these "experts" this week. Literally, emails, calls, they are in a feeding frenzy. One promised I would become #1 on trip advisor after hiring them. We are #1 on TA. They are soooo smart, aren't they?

how did you find out? do you do a search that shows when someone is re-posting your content?

It wasn't reposting it, it was our actual blog. Someone called about a flight over the lake, well that company left a few years ago, I asked where they saw it, and made a suggestion, ie call the little aiport at the lake to find any charters...meanwhile, I go to this site. This is the second call from that site in less than a month. Now if I could use them for a reservation, then sobeit, but the guy is a scammer. I let our chamber at the lake know about him.
Example, our county LOGO is there. When you click on it, it brings up a page with business he has put together in our county, NOT the government website. Deceitful. Not my job to go on and prosecute the guy, this is who these people always make it, as long as I passed it on and let them pass it on, they are contacting their attorneys.
