We have had an uptick in boo kings from boo king dot com. Probably 60 - 70% of our February and March business came through them.
I don't mind paying the commission when it's between zero rooms rented = zero dollars or two rooms rented - commission = more than zero dollars.

I've been with them about a month now. So far, nothing. But we'll see...

It didn't start right away. It has gotten more frequent.
I like them because it is a commission. We paid Bed and Bfst dot com an upfront fee and have gotten nothing. With a commission, you only pay if they do their job.

Uptick here as well, many more foreigners as well which is why I went with them in the 1st place.
The uptick maybe due to several marketing pushes including:
  • G oo gle Map pull down
  • TA
  • Adwords for your area
  • Adwords for your business name

It is a chicken and egg scenario. If they go to TA they get boo.com and then will check availability because it asks you to, and so would they have gone to your website and booked a room? Or would they have gone to another hotel/B&B and booked a room?
Is there really any way to work this out and see if they are your customers, already, or they are arriving at your place BECAUSE of Boo.com?
What is your gut feel on this beach house?

We do have 13 TA reviews since September when we moved in. Maybe it's the TA activity.
There is no direct link from TA to our website.
