This past weekend, I tried a yogurt parfait. I put them in stemless martini glasses and called them, "partinis."
Fresh strawberries, vanilla yogurt, honey, granola.
We had four guests and none of them took my partini. One took a store bought cup of yogurt. The others went for the banana muffins and English muffins.
My husband, kid and I enjoyed them immensly.
I have not given up. A different crowd will love them. :)

This is what I said, when I did the menu they didn't choose one, many have never had anything like it. This weekend guests went nuts and wanted to know what sort of muesli we used, etc, never having had it before.
If nothing else, you got some good photos for your website/FB etc. ! Maybe you can make them for special occasions there...then they will try them. Glad you and fam/friends enjoyed them!

It was worth a try. I will do them again. I bet they go over better in summer.

How odd! We do them often and our guests lap them up! You can never tell...!

This group also didn't touch the fresh strawberries or cantalope. I think they were a carb and sugar crowd. :)

I did these for a while: spoonful of jam at the bottom for a surprise, fresh fruit around the outside, vanilla greek yogurt center. No granola, seemed to make it gritty rather than smooth. Frankly they were never a really big hit - a lot of the yogurt left in the glass. Just as easy to put the fixin's out and let people choose what they want. I might do them this summer if I channel Martha and want to make cute.

A few years ago I lost weight on a structured diet plan. I still follow the plan to this day so I don't put it back on.
When I am at a help yourself, I don't even look at the bread section. I go straight for the fruit and yogurt. Because of that, we always have fruit and yogurt available. I can't be the only person wanting a healthy version of breakfast.

We did them at every breakfast and our guests loved them. They couldn't believe they were actually eating yogurt. I always used the Custard style Yo plait. But I would probably use the thick greek yogurt if I were doing now.

Lovely!
I think JB nailed it. When it's a serve yourself, people tend not to grab things they are not familiar with. With a sit down, they will actually try it and most of the time they love it.

wow ... beach, i would have grabbed one! quite elegant for a serve yourself.
and so pretty, empty nest.
