We stand on the edge of an abyss

Here we go again..... long lay ins, the house to ourselves, doing what we please during the day.... it's all about to come to an end.
Yes, we've had a few visitors during the winter, mostly at weekends, but today is where it all kicks off.
Most of our aims have been achieved during the winter, the breakfast room is decorated, the drive is tidied with new signage, the old twin room is completely refurbished with new everything (nearly), we've had two lovely holidays, but now we have to start earning the money to pay for all this.
There's a few days with no-one booked towards the end of April, but I expect them to fill, the next planned break is a weekend off for a wedding near the end of May.
Once more unto the breach dear friends!!!!

Enjoy the activity - and the income. I am actually starting to get busy. Most of next week is blocked off as our daughter (our handyman) comes in. She is going to power wash the paint off the porches and paint them. DH wants the kitchen floor painted and I got new smoke detector/carbon mono detectors for her to install in the guest rooms.
I do not get a long lead time with reservations these days. Too many hotel rooms have been built and several more are being built right now.

We just got back from 2 weeks away. I walked into the house, unplugged the phone and went to bed!

Had a wonderful time! Saw SO much (including family). Taking a few days to recoup, then back to the grind.
