Did you know that having an earthquake results in all guests showing up for breakfast on time? Just saying. :)

Best not to be late in case there is another rumble!!!

I guess after one of those, no one could say they overslept!

We had a tsunami warning where I've had to knock on all the guest rooms to tell them to evacuate early in the morning. One time we had repeat guests say they were returning back after it was over to have our breakfast, because they knew what they were going to miss! Everyone had packed all their things into their car and left, but that 1 room did come back for breakfast, because the warning was over before check-out time. I was pretty ticked off!

I'll have to try that when no-one's come down for breakfast by 9am

We had a very weird Sunday. Half the guests were already in the dining room by 7. Breakfast starts at 8. I ran the half and half out. But waited until we were ready for the food.

I don't get come down until 7:30. So, when I come down and the dining room is full it throws me off. I can't set the tables because everyone is there.
Or they've set up camp at the tables and I'm working around their stuff.
And the coffee is running out so it's a scramble.
I like to ease into my day. ;-)

Agree. I was a bit surprised. I don't set the tables, so I don't have that issue, but we usually have all the food set up before anyone gets up. Everyone was perfectly happy with powdered creamer and a pretty morning before I got there.

Do you have a guest fridge for them to keep their leftovers?
I have a skim milk and a half and half in the guest fridge. Lots of guests like milk with their cookies or cake.

We have refrigerators in all the rooms. We have talked about having a common room 'fridge. For things like half and half and cold soda.

Remember this year we have open seating breakfast time frame, everyone is always down at 8am or before now. What the heck! People complain that 9am is too early and now this? I can't keep up with it!
We are talking weekends, we are talking after going to shows or arriving late. All ages, not older people, all ages. Go figure!

I was blaming the earlier sunrise. But you've done this before, so ....I got nothin'. :)

I dread rainy Sundays. No one gets up until 9. Then they shower. And it's 9:30 before we see anyone!
Maybe everyone is racing to be the only one in the dining room at 8 am!

We normally open for breakfast 7.30 on a weekday 8am on a weekend - but on a weekend we always get a massive rush at 9am like a bell has gone off!
