Then you can update with articles and photos and whatever you want. Have it all set up and then you write away...
Would you pay someone to do this for you? If it were a decent fee?

For a custom look? Pretty background and layout? All done? Yes. I am a lousy designer.

Yes, and I think you should do this. You are very gifted and creative at your Inns blog post. This would be a great added income for you. On a side note.... I changed my name on here. I'm sure it wont be hard for you to figure out. My last name was kinda boring and this seems to work a little better for me. :). Or maybe you all can think of a better name? HaHa!

I was just asking as I saw someone online who does all the social media creation in addition to building a B&B website for a client. This was an add on, and I mentioned to an innmate who builds sites for innkeepers.

Maybe Queen of Hearts? :)

I set up blogs for all my web clients and give them directions on how to use it. I also point them to several innkeeper blogs to see what a good blog looks like. Does anyone do them? NOPE!!!! I send all the links we post here to them and very very few ever do a post. So after about a year I ask if they will use it, and most say take it off. They just don't want to be bothered. Can't make them understand how much it could add to their visibility...oh well :-(

It really does! mine on my web site is also linked to my twitter and facebook - since blogging regularly I get a lot more direct bookings through my web site - every commission free booking is a win!

I would pay someone to set it up, design it, make it pretty & SEO friendly. Because those are my weak spots. I can write plenty of words, but design is stressful for me. But, I'd definitely make sure I planned to blog if I was spending that money. As of right now, I have a blog I started last January that only got three entries and nothing else. Nope, not going to happen...

Here are some free backgrounds you can use CC. http://hotbliggityblog.com/ No special coding required, you cut n paste the text per their instructions, you will see it. (If you are using blogger it is super easy as you just add a gadget to use it)
*CC if you find one you like, let me know and I can help you get it on your blog, I am on your blog now so see what "brand" it is, etc. I can also help give you the wider width, wider width = bigger photos! :)

Wow, those are great! Wish I wasn't so chicken to do this again. Last time I changed the blog it took hours to make it look right.
