Converts to BnB's

Had 3 walk in's yesterday( might get 1 a yr,if lucky). 2 are here now. 1 could not get past the "motel mentality", I want a room w/2 double beds. Told her I have a unit with 2 bdrms w/ King beds,etc. No I want ..... she didn't come. But I got 2 BnB converts here, love it.. Local motel had guest but office was dark,locked & didn't return calls for guest with reservations arriving at 8:30 pm.?

Interesting thing is , if we locked new guest out, turned off our office lights and did not respond to their calls (when they had a confirmed reservation), T.A. would burn us at the stake. But I heard remarks of " we don't want to start any trouble and would like our deposits back if possible."( from the local motel). Why would/should it make any difference what kind of lodging you have to be up for a nasty TA review ?

I had a couple over the weekend that told us they'd stayed at several B&Bs in our town and liked to try them all. I was a little intimidated. I had nothing but compliments for the other B&Bs which prompted her to tell me what she didn't like about each.
They seemed to enjoy their stay and she said she would post a picture of the sunrise from her room on TA. Hope so.

We've had a convert this week, coupld here for four nights, said they'd never stayed in a B&B before, always hotels.
Said they'd always choose a B&B from now on.

its why I consider my town a BB conversion program - its often VERY busy so people who have to come must stay in a BB that otherwise would book a hotel, when they realise how much more they get for their money they never look back.
