I know we don't take kids and shouldn't take kids, but here is what we got when we decided to take kids. I'm thrilled. The town is small and people know people. This is what I was saying when I said townies are our market too.
“Best of Rockville!!!”

Reviewed yesterday NEW
The BeachHouse Inn is beautifully located in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood, with gorgeous views and easy access to the shops in Rockville. I knew this because I live in Rockville. But only when I needed to find accommodations for a young family visiting from Colorado, did I discover what a GEM the BeachHouse really is!!! When we had a big family reunion, I needed a place for the overflow. Beachy and Mr. Beach put my Godson and his wife and their two children in the "Front & Back Suite", which you can see on their website. For the next 5 days, I heard rave reviews from the children and their parents. They said the Inn is so welcoming and pretty, Beachy and Mr. Beach are wonderful, the rooms are comfortable and cozy, and the breakfasts are yummy! The children called the Inn "home". Everybody relaxed (me, too!). They can hardly wait to come back… and in the meantime, I'll be recommending the BeachHouse to everyone I know! Heartfelt thanks!!!
PS: I accidentally clicked "excellent" for "swimming pool on the rating options. As far as I know, there's no swimming pool, but they DO have a little koi pad which delighted the children!!!

Stayed April 2014, traveled with family

Now you will be taking kids - the review says you do. They did NOT mention the ages of the kids so you can set age limits NOW before a problem arises with toddlers and younger.
Great review.

All of our literature says 12 and over.
Good point that they didn't mention the kids' ages. Dodged that one, eh?

You could, if you wanted, have the review pulled for a guideline violation, as it contains quite a bit of hearsay rather than first-hand experience (of the reviewer).

I don't think I want to have it pulled. It highlights the koi pond and the breakfast and relaxation. All good things. The kids thing.....yeah, we'll learn to be tough as we go along. For now, we still get excited every time we get a reservation. LOL

Our first year we took every reservation that came along for fear another would not. The following years we got fussier.
For anyone who thinks this is no way to run a business you just need a few pitas under your belt to realize why you can't please everyone and shouldn't try.

Even after nine years, we make this mistake and then have to remind ourselves why we have an age limit.

It's cold now, but in the summer, I can see a koi pond + a 6 year old being a very bad combination.

Now you've got to put in a swimming pool ;-)
