Tough guy. At check-in I was not so fond of him. He was arbitrary. We had other rooms super fun and happy guests at check in, this guy not-so-much.
Today, having coffee in the kitchen while I cook, yeah... Anyway, this was all due to meeting one resident cat here. Who won his heart. After she raced through as she has been doing lately, as a game of hide and seek. I found him sitting on the foyer carpet scratching her belly. She would roll over scream her little banshee scream, purring and stare into his eyes. Pathetic really.
The next thingI knew as I was trying to get this 8am breakfast done...she was not here and he was not here and they were both up in the room with the wife having coffee. I could hear him saying her name aloud and her meowing back.
He lost his cat of 18 years recently and this little rascal here was just what the doctor ordered. He mentioned it was time to go to the RSPCA if they are open tomorrow, they aren't.

PS Our cat or dog are not allowed in the guest areas. He thought that was absurd, of course.

I read somewhere about a place where you could opt to have a cat with the room....as part of the furnishing that is, not bring your own!

That's great! Animals sure have a way of getting into peoples hearts very quickly.
