Interesting article... http://consumerist.com/2014/05/12/9-bad-consumers-who-make-things-worse-for-the-rest-of-us/

I guess we see them all... the borrower... the people who make reservations and cancel them, they borrow our rooms and return them for a refund... which is why so many now charge a non-refundable fee.

I think they missed the stretcher. The customer who pushes for more and more.

Had one call the other day wanting a deal, even said we weren't that full so how about this price? When a different price was agreed on they then wanted an early check in.

More for me, more for me.

As I said, you are too nice. I wouldn't have given in on the price in the first place Smiling

So you know who called for a late arrival, right? No way Jose! They are checking in and signing for their card and the room. None of this noon and still in bed crap because they "didn't know. "

Give an inch... take a mile. That's why I don't do those compromises, because I know... they will ask for more and more and more.

And yet they were lovely in person.

You see, I would already have resentment, just for them pushing my limits....

I wouldn't check them in. I got a break from them. Didn't answer the phone, either. Only way to keep my sanity is having that little break.

Oddly, I don't think I am but you're the second one today to say that about this same situation.

I'm always good for $10 in off season. Some people just need to think they got a deal. $10 will do it. Or 'free' tix that cost me $10.

In the space of 5 days I have either dealt with or heard friends complain about dealing with 1 and 4.
