Not asking for help on changing cc processors just wanting to see if anyone else gets this doing deposits.
Sometimes when I run a deposit I get all these extra questions popping up on the terminal - tax amount, customer number, tax exempt?, duty free?, etc.
Anyone else see this? What does it all mean???

we get some extra questions like house number and postcode but i can just bypass them.

I wonder if it has to do with the particular card that you are charging? For example, when I use my business card at Ho meD epot, we are asked if we have a job or project name for the purchase, but I am not asked that question when using my own personal card. Somehow the system knows that it is a business card and additional information might be warranted. So maybe the card you are running is a business card, or a government card, or something?

We were wondering, too. I'm going to call the processor this morning as it's awkward not knowing if there is info I should be entering and if it's costing me more not knowing it!

Yes, same here. And since I've had my new machine for non C&P cards (mostly US) it asks me to type in the last 4 digits of the card number. I guess it's a check that the mag stripe matches the card.

That was totally weird. Let me share something. Even though high yield is not very high anymore, you'll still want the very best rate of return available whenever you invest in a certificate of deposit. Your high-yield CD should also have an optimum load of features, from the right period of term and minimum deposit to most frequent interest compounding and other advantages like rate bumping and no withdrawal penalty. The following banks offer some of the best certificates of deposit when judged by these standards. If your cash is tied up in CDs, you can use a short term loan to pay for things.

Certain business and government cards. I have to put in the last four digits when I swipe cards. Never been asked for post code though. Every once in a blue moon I will get a denial that says that I must call for voice authorization. They charge for that, but it's usually a foreign card that they want to verify that the guest is really here. (If the guest isn't here, I wouldn't bother calling.)
We did once have a card that wouldn't authorize. They called their bank. The bank had set it to allow debit transactions only. She had to use another card, they wouldn't fix it.

That is what I was going to suggest. Usually the questions they ask (well more so the answers) reflect in the % it costs.
To answer your question, not most - we do get the tax question but I enter the total with tax so skip it. My processor said that by doing so does not change the processing fee.

The holder of the card has been here. Card did the same thing present as absent. It's a corporate card usually used for travel or purchases and there is usually an account number to enter along with adding the tax separately.
