Said by guest who booked room for 3 but now has 4 in room. Room accommodates 4 but good luck with that camp bed set up.
Also on today's agenda are the "we know we're early" door bell ringers doing the potty dance.
Sorry, at 11 am your room might not even be vacant much less cleaned. That extra bathroom would be nice but covered in laundry and trash right now.
However, everyone loved the breakfast!

had this a bit with guest today - had bits for her lunch - she came back from lunch but we were out, chamber maid was in residence and was fully briefed to retrieve item for guest if asked - Guest running round like a headless chicken, didn't ask chamber maid, didn't use bell, didn't use contact phone - instead asked my parents who had randomly turned up as if they would have any idea where I had put it!
then my parents in a fit of helpfulness locked the door to the basement so chamber maid couldnt get into the sheets or her keys or anything - priceless.

And your season officially has begun!
Our season is just about over and I am ready for a little slower pace. But the ending does not come without another

.
A family member contacted us a while back as they were coming through the area tomorrow. We offered them a room for the night and was accepted.
Had not heard anything more from them so DH sent them a message asking when we could expect them. The reply - NOT coming! No oh sorry we forgot, not Thank you - nothing!
On the other hand - GREAT! Now we can go to the festival I have been wanting to go to for years!

I was overruled. Early arriving guests are now going to be able to use the laundry room toilet. I am to apologize profusely to them for the state of disrepair and then let them in.
.
What!!!! They are suppose to walk all over your laundry??? NO WAY! Smack that man for me!!
.
No, I'm supposed to move it all out of the way for them. Clean, dirty, in the middle of being ironed laundry and the huge bag of trash that is supposed to go out at the end of cleaning.
I have reached a state of I don't care. If that's what he wants fine I'll do it that way. 10 years of disagreeing just gets me another year of doing the same argument over again.

He does half of the laundry but his half is in the basement.
It wouldn't be so bad but he never cleans up the laundry room so I go in there and find all the little trash bags from cleaning all the rooms plus the big trash bag from the kitchen.
Then there's the laundry. Sigh.
But no more wondering.
I'm just going to wait for one of the guests to come down in the morning to use that toilet while he's cooking breakfast and see how it goes then.
Especially if he's just popped in there to pee and someone opens the door!
If they can use it at 11am, they'll think nothing of using it all day and night.

I don't see what the big deal is that a guest can't go to their own bathroom. It's not like they are miles away for heavens sake. I would just keep that one LOCKED.

Good idea. Think banana and I will both be installing locks on Tuesday.
That way dh gets to let guests use that toilet and I get to control when.
There's a word for that. One that I don't easily remember. Oh yeah, compromise. ;-)

Upstairs. No one wants to walk upstairs.
We've had guests chatting in the living room just walk into the guestroom off the hallway to use the toilet. Hello! Is your door open? I'm going to use your bathroom!
And, like others have said, no one wants to stink up their own bathroom. Or their spouse is in there and they can't wait. (I totally get that one. We are getting 2 bathrooms in our next house!)

I totally get that too! When we were looking for our 'retirement' house, one of the my must haves was that it had 2 bathrooms. All of the years we've been together, no matter what house it's been, we've only had 1 bathroom. Yeah, we've got the b&b bathrooms, but that doesn't count!
We did find our house and it has THREE bathrooms! One downstairs and two upstairs. What a luxury. Now I just wish we could spend more time there.

During the 4 years prior to finding our house, we rented a 4 bedroom cabin at Oglebay Park for a week. They had 1 bath & 2 bath. I paid the extra for the 2 bath - that was MY vacation for ME. We had 4 bedrooms w 1 bath in our house. The second bathroom was total luxury to me. Now we have 1 again (for us) and we have discovered more often than we care to that we aappear to be on the same "schedule". My next place can have only 1 because at that time I will be just me.

I always insisted on 2 bathrooms in our houses. Though we seldom need them at the same time.
