He said he is thrilled to be staying at one of the best B&B's in North America, and for that he gets a $60 upgrade.

I know some of you don't get Joey Bloggs at all, but I am really nice. I overtip for great service, I lavish goodies on our guests and am uber helpful. So when Clyde mentioned he was thrilled to stay in one of the best B&B's in North American, bam he got a $60 upgrade. This is why is it fun owning and operating your business, you can do whatever you want to do. yes

I may be all about social media marketing here, but in person I love our guests and have fun!

I got the award. I have 3 bicycle riders here - on the return from their ride that tarted with them staying Wednesday. About an hour ago I was sitting on the porch and one of them told me that collectively they "have stayed at B & Bs all over the US and around the world., and I have to tell you that you are in the top 5%". It blew me away. They sat on the porch while I cleaned the rooms (the wrasslers were still in them when I left to go pick up the bikers). I am truly blessed with good guests.

(PS: as I was going to go pick up Asian for dinner tonight, I saw a couple get out of their car in front of my house. They wanted a room tonight - and it felt so GOOD to have to say, I do not have any. I HAD WALK-INS that could not come in!)

One of them is the logistics guy. He went on the Internet looking for B& Bs on the rail-trail they wanted to ride. ALL of the B & Bs that used to be on that trail have closed. When he asked about the trail and I was able to give him answers, and then asked about could they be dropped at the trailhead I told him I no longer have a bike rack. He said, "will I have one on my car. How about you go with us to the trailhead and then when we come back Sunday we call for pick-up and you bring the car back?" OK. We did it. They just left - and the organizer gave me $60 for the pick-up service. Woo hoo!!

Good job! Now I need to kick myself in the butt to do more blogging. Ugh  I wish it came easier to me. I did a nice blog on a beach wedding we performed yesterday and I swear, those 4 pictures and a few hundred words took me 2 hours.

I'm listening JB, wax on, wax off....

Joey, that is so great! Those are the type of guests that keep us going. Well done!

That's fantastic! So, I'm curious...did he see the blog post you did before he stayed?

It makes you feel good all over! I had 3 rail-trail riders last night riding a rail-trail about 20 miles from my house. I told him (the one making the rez that I no longer had a bike rack. HE decided the solution - I go to trailhead with them, drive back to my house and Sunday when they return, they will call me to come get.

Listening to those 3 men this morning totally pleased with breakfast (they were taking pictures of the food) and then abefore we left and at the trailhead they were thanking me all over the place. When they saw the road to get to the trail, they said it would have been a day's ride in itself - IF they managed to stay out of the ditch! They thought the roads we drive every day were curvy - I told them these were really nothing, the twisty roads are US Rt 50 East and US Rt 250 in either direction. Of course we also have a few State Routes that qualify. They stay at B & Bs as much as possible when trail riding - and like Mikey, they liked us!

Good for you!

I suspect a lot on here are somewhat different in person. You roadtrippers discovered that with Branson Bob.
