FB getting like TA on offering up your competition?

You know how TA offers people other lodging in your town if someone does a search for your property and you don't list your prices with them or Booking? It will say, "Our online travel partners don't provide prices for this accommodation, but we can search other options in [your town]" and they offer a link to search for your competition.
I just got one of Breakfast Diva's FB posts in my newsfeed, and below it FB said, "Here are some similar places to this one," and listed 4 other tourism-related businesses near Divaland.
In this case, none of them were lodging, but I'll bet that could happen!
I've been noticing for a while that they are offering similar posts beneath some posts by people you follow, but it hadn't occurred to me until now that they could plug your competition.
It's always something!

So you're one of the 24 people that post was fed to in the past hour (amazingly beautiful photos on that post)? Ugh Even though I got 6 likes out of 24 people, it'll still just sitting there.
Well, it won't surprise me that FB would pit us against each other. They say it's all about making it a better experience for it's users, but of course we know it's all about $$$.

Yes, beautiful pics. But I've been to that location and would say it would be difficult to NOT come away with beautiful photos there!

It has really stifled my desire to post. Period!
