A couple of weeks ago we did an elopement on a nearby beach and the couple added on our professional photography option. The photographer is DH's cousin. I just got the photos back and am floored with how beautiful they are.

Here's one I took myself last night. We're so lucky that we have some amazing coastline as a back drop.

As mentioned, I would 86 the garden or inn weddings altogether, up your price points and only do them on the beach. I cannot say there is any comparison to that backdrop. Is this the elephant? I know it is a little more and planning, but dang breakfastdiva, dang!

The problem with that is the weather here! Rain, rain and more rain. It's raining right now. I've been amazed at how many people choose NOT to get married on the beach, which is fine if they are staying with us. To each his/her own I guess. If they choose to hire us only for the ceremony, then it's the beach option and they don't get to use our property as a backup plan. Most of the ceremonies onsite are because the weather is bad.

I understand, foggy coastal scenes are amazing though, if not even more amazing for lighting and ambiance. I know you will have people expecting the same setting you present in your marketing now, with these type photos, so it is a catch 22. So now you will have to explain alot more. ug
But in season, I would go gung-ho at the beach, alternate location (ie rain date) haha "If it pours we go indoors"

Just saw this quote:
I have always thought beach weddings are beautiful. A sunset ceremony with a beautiful sky, white drapes and fire lanterns. -Ricky Whittle

Love is grand isn't it. There is nothing else to say but Spectacular!
