Another reason time is our friend

When we were building our inn, we used four mantras to help us move forward. One of the mantras was, "Time is our friend". It has many interpretations.
At that time, it was a constant reminder that the extra time something took was often reflected in how well it turned out. It helped us be patient.
I was reflecting a little today and it occurred to me that 9 years as an innkeeper has dramatically changed what is important enough to worry about. The list gets smaller as we move forward and I am grateful once again that time is my friend.

Time resolves "issues", allows maturity, and allows many wonderful things to take place. Flowers bloom, a new day dawns, and we wake up to another chance to screw things up.

There are so many things that time has shown me are not worth worrying about here.

I admit to being in the deep end of the pool.
These last 2 months have almost killed me.I am celebrating the "musical bed" lady has moved to a hotel closer to her job. Tying up a room with long-term hurts my revenue stream. Last year I would not have believed it - but this year I am already ahead of 2013 with a couple weeks left in June. The elopements are part of it, but I have also had lots more occupancy. Either my marketing all these years has finally started working or the oil/gas workers are driving them to me since they have taken all the rooms.
Today we actually went to a picnic and tomorrow go to retrieve some paintings from a gallery. The paintings were hanging (we drove by last fall and were able to see them thru the window as the gallery was closed) near the ceiling - VERY high ceiling.
