Elopement couple in, cake baked, City Council Meeting over, cake decorated, table set for the 6 AM breakfast. Elope breakfast is at 9 and wedding is 12:30. Have to flip a room twixt the cider toast and check-in time. I figure to get their breakfast on the table, DH can take care of that part of the song & dance (she is in art school - shutting him up will be the problem) while I go get the flowers. Will get the table set up while she dresses. Hope the in-coming get here reasonable time - Band rehearsal is 7 PM. and I cannot miss this one!
Thursday I am doing something new for me - I am moderating (I think that is the term) a Webinar on saying goodbye to Processors. I had nothing on the books when we set that date! All will be well I know - just verbalizing to get my head straight. As of right now, I have 1 room empty for 2 nights this week - totally booked all other nights - and the doc has to go elsewhere 2 nights - tomorrow and Saturday. My creditors are VERY happy!! Thanks for listening - feast or famine. I prefer feast as I hate to be dong nothing. WOOHOO! Podunk is BUSY

saying goodbye to processors? what is that?
when i was baking like that, i'd bake cake and freeze the unfrosted rounds. cool, wrap in plastic wrap, then foil, then label with what kind (it was mostly white) and when i made them. i found the instructions on some website long ago that said they keep for months but i usually had need of them before 2 months went by.
good luck with it all.

Yes, saying goodbye to credit card processors.
I make a 12 inch heart and a 6 inch heart pans cake. My Mom had a recipe that make a 3 layer cake that is perfect for this. I put the 6 inch on a cardboard round wrapped in foil that sits on the 8 inch separator so it is a 2-tiered cake. Then I slide the top off and wrap it for them to take home to freeze. I get the topper for half price at the craft store so they get that too. They (all our elopers) have been so appreciative of everything.
