$99 -- Charlotte Weekend Getaway w/Breakfast, Reg. $183
With breakfast... we think everyone knows we serve breakfast being a B&B, but geeze maybe we need to start telling them!

The website says, Rates include a continental breakfast.
I did have a guy ask me if he should let us know when he wants breakfast. This as I am setting up the buffet. I said, no, it's all out. Help yourself.

<grin> You'd be surprised (well, maybe not) at how many callers ask if breakfast is included!

What do we always say? "People don't read". I think it's a good idea to start mentioning in specials or offers that breakfast is complimentary. I had a phone call just last week who was booking a room on the phone who was surprised she didn't have to pay extra for the breakfast. Doh!

People who are not used to B&B think we charge, and in fact we have had guests who tell me places that they stayed that charged. Then there are those who charge for a hot cooked meal but offer cereal and oj as the complimentary meal.
I don't think enough people realize it. A nice continental is a NICE breakfast imo. Esp if there is fresh fruit. I would opt for that if there was fresh fruit (not a brown banana like hotels offer).
I bang the breakfast drum all the time, share photos, post info. I have a blog article in the wings on this topic.

Yes we have too. But upon asking it was A ir B B that they used and breakfast had to be paid for , not in the cost of room rental.
My how we confused people with all the differences. Hotel boutique, Motels, B&Bs , Air stays, Vocational rentals, Resorts, Inns. People are not sure now a days as to what offers what. To many, we are all the same. Cause they just don't read or because they never give it a thought?
I think much like BD we must tell them what we offer in specials or just every day offerings

Just yesterday I was comparing our prices with a local budget hotel. Although their rooms are cheaper than us, they charge £8.90 for two breakfasts and for that you get a cardboard box with a bottle of OJ, and other cellophane wrapped items, like a small cake. If you add on the £3 for 24 hours for wifi they charge, they are more expensive than us.
