We are very close to opening our inn, we need to hire our innkeeper since we own a home not to far from our inn. We are not a tourist destination at all. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to search for someone that would be the right fit for our inn? We have placed an add on fb, and really haven't gotten much interest.

Try your state association and national association groups that have help wanted listings.
 
You won't get much response on FB. Because only friends will see it..unless you are doing a paid ad. I certainly wouldn't know where to find it on facebook and probably no one else will either.
This site has a place for ads and it is well known.

We were looking for locals, we aren't a tourist destination. We are a very small town in central Mississippi. There are two motels in the county and the closest hotels are about 30 miles away.
 
Don't leave any logical stone unturned. If you are looking for someone experienced, try the associations - can't hurt to call or email!
Do you have a local Chamber of Commerce? Another source that may have connections to people interested OR ideas on how to spread the word to locals.

Local paper classifieds - paper or online.
I know MS has a state run Dept of Labor with offices in many local areas. Here is one of the sites.

Well in that case why don't you just take out an ad in the local paper? I doubt a person looking for a serious innkeeper position is going to want to go to a very small town...unless someone with no experience looking to gain some. Which may be an option for you. Are there any community colleges or universities near by with hospitality programs? Maybe offer internships. Think out side the box.

There is a community college in our town and yes we have thought of that. : ) Trying to weigh all of our options.

Yes, have a chamber, my hubby is past president. We have a couple possibilities right now.
