Called they guy and he verified that the spots must be from his hair. But, he colored it a week ago. He just can't believe it's still coming out.
I did a search on here and didn't really find anything specific other than that a few people had to trash the stained item. Is that my only option? It's on one of the few shams that I really like. At least it's not a regular pillow case or sheet.

I have freaked out every time this has happened - and it's happened a lot. But every single time, it has come right out with a little Dawn (I swear by it!) pre-scrubbing. Can you also use bleach? Just check them carefully before putting in dryer, and if it hasn't come out, try washing again.

Thanks, I'll try some Dawn. They haven't gone in the dryer yet, just thru the wash a few times with a different treatment each time. Nope, can't use bleach. Tried OxiCl but that didn't work.

.
I am in love with blue dawn also. Try peroxide if not that baking soda and peroxide. make a paste leave it on for a good bit then wash in warm water.
Had some luck with blond colour dye. It came out with vodka. It was a shame to waste vodka. But hey it worked .

Thank goodness it wasn't bleach. We have lost a few pillow cases over the years to some very blond guests.

Truth be told, I never liked these shams anyways (don't like any shams really). The other non-hair dyed one had some old spots on it also that we could never get out. So, I just used it as a good reason to pull them both from the room. I figured out that we didn't have any Dawn. I'll have to get some on standby for this reason.
Thanks y'all!
