ok, maybe I'm just a little gun shy now... (and may be for a while) BUT...
Oh my! I had a call come in when the crazy was calling, and I didn't answer it. He called several times. Yesterday I took the call. He said he wanted the special for friday it was his 35th anniversary etc... , and I explained it was a 'same day special' designed to fill empty rooms. He had to call the same day if he wanted that price, but in doing so, there is a risk of not getting a room. If he wanted a regular reservation to secure the room since it was such a special occasion it might be better to book it. Well he said he'd take his chances.
Today he calls and I just felt something was wrong. I told him we didnt have anything available. (and right now we dont). So I told him to call another b&b nearby. gave him the info on it. He said, is that a B&B also. I said yes and I was sure he'd like it.
Well, I waited awhile and then I called the other b&b and told them I sent them a referral, and asked if he called. They said 'no'. (I asked them to let me know if he did, just for peace of mind).
And yes, he is calling from the same area as the crazy!
You know what I'm thinking..........

Oh my Lord...this is just not good. You still have the # he called from, for documentation purposes..just in case? I am so sorry this is happening!

Send the number to the cops. This is getting too scary.

the trouble is you can't stop taking reservations ... you have a business to run that depends on them. i respect your judgment and you'll do what you need to do ... repeated phone calls are bizarre. wondering, is this an obscure area code the calls are coming from? and how much was the security deposit that all this harassment arose from?

You mean you don't recognize his voice by this time??? This guy is a looney tune and you need to tell the cops about this. They need to pay him a visit...ASAP!

it might be he has gotten a friend to call or it may be a fluke - you didn't have the room anyway so it was moot.

I do recog the crazy voice, this was a different person. But I think he was put up to calling.

A lousy $400! If I had known, he was a wako I would have just given it back! The damage was over $2,000!! But the deposit didn't begin to cover it. Ya know you don't think they will be crazy. Ya think they would learn and say "next time I'll be more careful to a rental".
I know I have to keep taking the reservations. I can tell if its just a 'normal' person calling. and yes, it makes one a little paranoid. I'll be fine after a few days I'm sure!

unreal. i'm very concerned they are trying to retaliate and just want to keep up the harassment. so sorry!!

it should end soon. He should have gotten the letter from the attorney. And possibly the police report has made it to the prosecuting attorney. If so, they will send out an arrest warrant.
