Hi hope someone can help with a legit contact point for not renewing our business listing. I have emailed using various addresses only receiving one receipt that they have received our request but have nothing further. I have called their contact numbers at various times of the day only to receive a recorded message that I need to contact them during business hours. It is very frustrating.
 
I'm guessing you have to call someone in Oz, is that right? I think there's a number floating around here for US businesses but not other countries.
 
I have a few numbers but have tried a 1800 no. that I get the recorded message on. It has an American Accent. Maybe it diverts from Aussie ?
 
TA's Business Hours are Eastern Standard Time -- meaning USA -- so you'll have to wait up 'til the middle of the night where you are to make your call. (Unless you call the UK number, then it would be whatever their standard time is).

Never mind. My cut and paste isn't working. Use the search box in the upper right. Put in TripAdvisor phone and it's first resource (not the ads, scroll down!)
BTW, lots of our commercials on tv use actors with fake Aussie accents. And so they use them on answering machines, too. You just never know where you're calling anymore!
 
The UK number is 0044 2033185019. We live in Spain and have used this number numerous times and they have always been helpful. UK business hours 9-5 M-F.
 
Cancel the credit card you paid for the listing with, you'll be surprised how quickly someone will contact you instead!!

hmmm...this has got me to thinking....will they just 'auto renew' us when it's time? If the price increases significantly, do they contact you and ask?
 
So far I managed to get thru to a human who was located in Singapore. Someone was to call me back. Still nothing. The business listing cost has apparently jumped by $200 AUD and the auto renew is on. There is no way it seems you can turn that off online. Last resort I will cancel the card. Thanks everyone for your support.

When I signed up for the biz listing last year, I used a card I knew I was going to close because I had heard that it's difficult to stop the auto renew!

They auto-renewed me last year, with a 20% increase and no call. I'm in the States - I'm sure it will be no different for you. I'm cancelling my card this year.
 
From Singa's at least I have confirmation... and can back charge if nessesary. " Great Returns" interesting... anyone looking for accom gets pop ups to direct to their commission/ profit maiking sites. Stats delivered no way correct.

Just realised what does "after some time mean" ?
 
It WILL auto renew.
It is like the old leave it to beaver record of the month club.
 
By the way, you don't have to 'cancel' your card, just tell the bank that you lost it and they will re-issue you another card with a different number.
I spent a lot of time looking in the business owners section to try to turn off the auto renew on TA. IT DOESN'T EXIST. Yea, that's quite a scam if you ask me. I just don't know how that can be legal.
 
ohmy ... it is so easy to sign up for things online, but you have to call and speak to someone to cancel. i despise auto renew!! let us know how this works out.
