Rant alert!!!!
The elopement preacher has moved into a sub-standard rental - the only thing she could find - WITH good reason. She has cats & dogs and does dog rescue (I have a feeling cats too). He daughter, boyfriend, and a friend are here to try to get the place fixed up a bit. Boyfriend is allergic to cats so she called to see if they could stay here. I said OK - even with the event - because I expected them to be up and out. I had several things dor them to do for me in exchange. I did one of them already this morning hoping to make enough noise to get them rolling. They seem to be night owls. I have let doors slam talked loudly to no avail. I told DH we are just going to go. It will take us an hour and a half to two hours to get to the event. It is now after 10!! I do not care if they do anything or not. We are going. Will update tonight as to whether they did what I asked or not. (Put one bed on the 7 inch extenders and flip the mattress in the Gillum Room - I moved the bed in the Harris back where it belonged by myself - took longer with more drag doing it instead of 2 men doing a lift and move.)
Update: The friend came downstairs and DH told him to beat on the door and get the others up. I was able to go see the extenders bed before I left. I like the height now - it will be easier to make as I will not be bending over so low - and the outlets are where I wanted them. We left at 10:30 and the boyfriend was coming down with a bag of garbage - I think HE straightened/cleaned the room. When we got back it looks as if they flipped the mattress and put the mattress pad back on.
We were not 10 miles up the road when we got a call - the races have been canceled because we are under a tornado warning. We went on up because I had left a table I use fairly often. By the time we got there, almost everything was gone. The General had moved his RV down to the blacktop by our friends house so they would not get stuck again. So we got to say goodbye to them. Weather is wild here today.
