Giving Thanks

I know that some innkeepers on other forums think all we do here is complain, but that's so NOT TRUE! So, I want to send out some very positive vibes and thank many of you who have helped get my small wedding/elopement side of the biz up and running. Without your input, it would not be nearly as successful as what it has become. This year has been our worst year for regular room revenue and these wedding/elopements have really saved us.
So, I'm naming names! If I missed someone, please forgive me.
Guillum House - For putting the idea out there to begin with!
ProudTexan - For taking off with this idea at your place. You may not know it, but it encouraged me that you were doing them successfully and your property is in the middle of a rural area. I took a few ideas from you.
CopperHead - Thank you, thank you, thank you for telling me that when you created a separate website, your wedding business grew. Because of that input, I decided to start up with a new website just for the weddings/elopements. Within a month, my site was ranking high on the first page of google for my major keywords. Even now, 6 months later, the page that was developed on my b&b website only ranks on page 3 of google. I wouldn't have anywhere near the business I have now if I had just added a page to my website.
EmptyNest - Your help and generosity of your time was invaluable. Thank you for holding my hand and answering questions for my very first WP experience.
JB - You inspire me and your ability to share your ideas and creativity is amazing. And you don't even care when I steal from you! In fact you encourage it!
So, for all the moaning and groaning we do here, we're really one big dysfunctional family who are also here to support each other. Thank you to everyone!

I am glad it is working for someone. Sometimes I want to beat my head against the wall because of how few we are getting. But I am coming to the conclusion that my role is to throw out ideas and see what sticks - and works for someone. It is a pleasure to me that it is working so well for so many.
I am really glad it has helped your revenue. The 4 we have done so far - yes, only 4 - helped my revenue stream tremendously!

Back at ya and to the others as well. I especially thank K for bringing this up. We had everything in place just needed the slap to get us going.
Sharing ideas is the best thing about this forum. We take those ideas and run with them in our own ways, we are all still unique.
