You'll notice a few Waltons on there. What ever state a Walmart heir lives in, they generally become the richest in that state.
One of our state's Waltons (the one listed as richest) is married to a girl from my town. It's our greatest claim to fame!
 
I didn't know about ours here, interesting. That part of the state has more wealth per capita than most.
I stood behind the wealthiest man in the World (currently and has been for decades on and off give a dozen billion or so) as I boarded a plane in San Fran once. I was right in front of him. I have told this story before... I thought about his book where he wrote he will usher in the cashless society, and many other things about his worldwide domination in certain areas... so I turned around and of all the amazing topics to discuss what did JB say to the wealthiest man on the planet earth, who has world leaders at summits at his home, I said, and I quote "hi" and turned back and boarded the plane.
I will note that his people were not flying first or business class, they were flying economy. This, my friends is how you get to be wealthy. er well, it helps.

All the wealthy people in my town are well known tightwads. They'll spend lavishly for great vacations, but ask for a discount on everything local.
 
We got invited to a family member's cocktail soiree last year. Silly me. I thought it was for local business owners. Kind of a meet and greet.
Bottom of the invite was the 'donation' form in support of a bozo I might not help cross a busy street.
Oh well.

It must be the, " Do not show us on the richest person", list that we signed up for while we were signing up for the, "Do not call" list. It's hard to keep track of all the things we have opted out of.

Surprising...I thought it would be someone related to a certain beverage empire headquartered in our State capitol.
