Having the most delightful time.
Saturday night we had a couple for one night and she was spaghetti thin and he was chunky bear-like cuddly. She is a baker, and brought some nice desserts with her for their anniversary getaway.
But the funny bit was as she told me she also brought chocolate almond milk for her coffee and placed it in the guest fridge, oh and that she is Vegan. They didn't mention it on the rez so I was taken aback, that is something when asked surely you share...
She was so sweet she said "I am on vacation" and I must have look puzzled, and she said "I am not a strict vegan" and I said "You are the first" and laughed and called her a "vegan on vacation." The next morning, as you can imagine, he was also living as a "vegan on vacation", meaning she cooks vegan at home, but now he was out and could gobble up whatever she doesn't eat. She told me "Do not go to any hassle at all I will have what everyone else has."
I served it up, no way no shape or form vegan or even vegetarian and she ate it. All of it.

A FIRST. I had to report it to y'all. A shocking jaw-dropping first.

Which kind of proves dh's theory that a lot of crap we get is from people wanting us to jump thru hoops. I'm a (fill in the blank) when it suits me.
Glad yours was on vacation!

Did you get a chance to talk baking? Had vegans here night before last. One rail thin. One not.

No I didn't, they left 3 kids at home and were quite happy to have alone time. :)
Next morning full table and didn't get a chance, to busy working. We spoke about the baking as I had a wedding cake here for our elopement, which they left btw, so our new check ins will have it for afternoon refreshments. I would have enjoyed that though, she was really sweet.
The other part of it was they were going night two to another B&B, and told people they were inn hopping. I have heard strange things about the other inn, so I sure hope we made a good impression! They left a thank you note and loved it here, so that was nice.
