In France, after pressure from different parties, management responses have been in A/B testing format for a few months, then definitively approved a few weeks ago. I have not heard of the right of the guest to stop the management response. Seems not applied over here.

Booking seems more scary down here. They own the stock. TA is just advertising.

Is there a way to comment on reviews on bo oking dot com?   I have a bunch on there!  I just found them.   Mostly good but a lot of comments on the bath being down the hall.  We have ONE room of 6 without an ensuite bath and have maybe 1/3 of the comments about how inconvenient it is.

They have started allowing MGT responses on booking, but from what I was told by my rep is that reviewers have the option to allow a response or not! 

That was the case with our one poor review from a non English speaking FR couple who was angry because I did not provide them with breakfast before 7am.  And I was not even around when they checked out. 

I asked the rep if there was a way THEY could revert the option so I could provide my response.  She spoke with her supervisor and told me they did not have that capability.  Yeah, right!

Ah. This must be the difference between the reviews that say the guest has opted in to hear from you and the ones that just appear.

No. You can't do a management response on booking.

Absolutely do not give that room to booking guests unless it's the only room you have listed and it's clearly stated in the description.

If the guest doesn't know this in advance, of course they are complaining.

We removed one room from the mix because we were getting Potty Mouth (auto filter)y comments about the stairs.
