Yes, you could, so why call me 3 times when you've looked at the website and seem to know everything about the room other than the price?
Ask me the same questions and then are surprised when the price is the same today that it was 2 days ago?
Yeesh!

Some people just want a bed, any bed, and don't care about ambiance and amenities. Don't know why people like that look at B&B websites! They should be looking at motels, or Air.

Sir, respectfully, I don't think that we are the place for you. We serve a lovely breakfast, in a tastefully individually decorated room. If that doesn't sound like the place you normally stay, we are not the place for you. Can I suggest looking on H0tw1re, where you can get the cheapest room randomly picked for you. Good luck.

jeez ... so rent a house already. absolutely ... 'we are not the place for you.'

So why don'tcha!
Because:
  • you have to clean up after yourself
  • have to clean - strip the beds, clean the dishes, start the laundry .... before you check out
  • leave a large damage deposit
  • bring groceries
  • cook your own meals
  • rent for a week when you only want the weekend
  • ......

All of those things!
So, you know what I said in response? "Yes, you could."
I've kind of gotten tired of trying to explain this to people.

Arks, you are 100% correct! Even some of my dh's work colleagues didn't understand what we had to offer in terms of extra service at our inn. One guy and his wife always take their own sheets to hotels, so he couldn't wrap his head around our ironed and lavender scented white cotton linens. Haha!
On the other hand, as a guest I am all about the amenities. Next week I'm finishing up 3 weeks of full-time grandbaby duty and I'm treating myself to 3 days at a lovely cottage at a B&B in the town we hope to move to while I do more research. Can't wait for all the perks after sleeping on a futon... ;-)
