The Girl Went Off To College...

Well the stack of pillowcases was huge in the to be ironed and quite small on the shelf in the store room. So tonight, I bit the bullet. Put the high tool in the dining room and used it like I would perch on the edge of a desk. It worked. I did 12 pairs of pillow cases and enough napkins for the weekend before I hung it up. I think there are 10 more sets to get next week with the pillowcases from this weekend. I am SO proud of me.

Wow but I bet you feel so good!!! Enjoy it for now cause it has a point of sneaking up on you. I had 2 king sheets and 2 pairs of pillow cases. Then 2 set of queen sheets and 4 sets of pillow cases. Plus napkins and the dreaded word dollies. One bed skirt to iron. It was hotter then you know what ? ! But it is done , done yippee . Lets go out and celebrate How's a glass of wine K?

Keeping the drips off he ironing board was a bit interesting. Yes, will meet you on the porch with a glass of white. I ironed from 9:30 to just after 11 but the iron still heated it up too much. Too much going on during the day to iron then - too hot too.

My mother recently moved 'in' with us. I say it that way because we converted our carriage house into a full 1-bedroom apartment for her - kitchen, laundry room and everything! I haven't picked up an iron since she moved in. She says it's her 'contribution for all the extra running around' I have to do now that she's here. I don't really feel that it's that much time, but if it makes her feel better...
I have found myself out of the house a little more often. Seems that when I am, that's when guests seem to call and want to make a reservation. Since I can't do that on my phone, I'm getting a tablet. It should be here early next week! YAY!
