Has anyone figured out how to send a group email using emails on Rez key?
 
That DOES seem like a logical thing to do, to access all those guest e-mails the system contains, and send a mass e-mail to some or all. But I don't know any way to do it. Maybe someone does. If not, need to ask John about it. It's certainly a feature that needs to be included, if it's not there already.
 
You don't want all those e-mails coming from your IP address. You'll get labeled as a spammer. What you need to do is use an online e-mailer/newsletter site like constant contact or I use a cheaper one called Your Mailing List Provider (ymlp.com). They are inexpensive and you just export the e-mail addresses into the newsletter site.
 
I don't think RezKey does have that capacity, and it's something a lot of the 'simpler' reservation systems don't have. Probably because of the spam issue.
The thing to do is to export the emails into a .csv file (comma separated values) from RezKey and then import that file into a mailing program like Constant Contact. I have done that myself so I know it's possible, but I forget which screen of RezKey to use. A free and easy program is Mailchimp - I use it for mailings for our local visitors center.

I use Mail Chimp for a number of businesses. You get free up to 2000 on the mailing list and I think 15,000 mailings. I like it alot and very easy to use.
And caution about sending emails to your guest list. If they don't opt in, you will be labeled a spammer :-( People don't want mass mailings from anyone. So ask them if they want to be put on your mailing list first!

To do it from ResKey, click on 'Guests', then choose 'e-mail', click the little box 'export results', then GO!
 
You can get this into an excel spreadsheet in a jiffy. I would not do this unless I was announcing we are leaving and introducing the new owners. Otherwise it is spam.
