We hear that here as well. But on the forum it is said like "No one has ever complained" or "No one has ever asked for..." or "everyone says they love our..."

That's why it's great that so many innkeepers here from all over tell what they do and what guests like and don't like. We can't travel everywhere for ideas but we can read about what works/doesn't work elsewhere.

this is near enough what I said to one of my neighbours - just because the PO did like that doesn't mean you should do like that - look at and assess everything - does it work for you? does it work for customers? is there a compromise?

I think it's so easy to become complacent and to do what always worked before. Staying relevant is hard work.

I also think when you become so complacent you loose the love. Or the excitement of running the B&B..
Change may be good , But you will never know till you try it.
