At check out GA guest says "I would like to tell you how we found you"
Me "I would love to hear that"
Him "My wife bought some milk at our local grocery store and it was so delicious, just for props I googled them..."
Me "Oh?"
Him "I found your blog article about them and said to my wife we just have to go to that B&B"
Me "Wow, thanks so much, that is really nice"
Him "I figured if you took the time to write an article about them with photos that you had to be a great place"
Me "Thank you, we really appreciate it."
Background which we then discussed... A few from this forum have been to this creamery, it is owned by a religious sect that maintains the old customs which means they look similar to the Amish, and do not market online, do not have a website. There have been a few articles about them here and there including my blog articles. The ice cream has a higher % cream content so it is closer to a custard and very delicious. They are selling in a certain grocery store chain in real glass refundable bottles.
These guests came all the way here from Georgia, and went to this creamery for ice cream and to see it. I told them the dairy cows they are seeing nearby are the farms where their milk comes from, they thought that was pretty neat. They actually drove their kids to TN to the grandparents so they could get here and arrived at 10pm on Friday night.
Moral of the story - when did I write this article? Let me look... May 2009!
