Wish people would leave a note telling me what they did to my towel to make the stains they leave me! I know some is makeup, some many remain a mystery.

thanks. they sure have upped their game on their website. Wish I could convince my old employer ( Ohio Extension) to do the same with theirs. I keep telling them and they keep saying we'll get to it :-(

Re berry, juice, or wine stains - I put a bit of Murphy's Oil Soap on the stain, tub it in for a second or two, and throw in the wash. Comes out almost every time. Mother Murphy is at the washing machine I use it so much for stains. Baked oatmeal has blackberries, red raspberries, and blueberries so often have oops on tablecloths & napkins. Tablecloths get the drips from the juice pitchers (cranberry, cranberry blends, blueberry, black currant, etc).

After guests left I found mystery stains on two towels. Bright yellow, like they spilled yellow food coloring, or egg yellow, on the towels.
I tried Resolve first. The towels are white so I let it sit 15 minutes rather than the recommended 5 minutes. Washed the towels. Stains faded just slightly but still really bad.
Next I applied the M30 stain remover that almost always works, even after stains have been washed and dried previously. Left it on 30 minutes. Washed. Stains faded a little more but still there.
So I drug out a new product I've been using for cleaning the toilets: Clorox Clean-Up Cleaner+Bleach. Sprayed it on the towels and the yellow stains disappeared before my eyes! Left it on about 5 minutes then washed. Stains gone, towels fine. The bleach must be dilute enough that it doesn't eat a hole in the cloth. At any rate, it's worth a try if the alternative is to throw the towel away.
Another reason I'm glad I use all white towels and sheets!
