I have had guests come here from the UK telling me that pulled pork is the rage there right now. They literally are seeking it out in the south here because of that. Our UK guests just told us that belly pork is all they serve there, not shoulder or pulled pork.
Conversion due to a new restaurant with a guy standing outside for 8 hours smoking pork BBQ and the other guests saying how great it was.
Have you heard or seen pulled pork there? I have heard it on more than one occassion. Just wondering

tends to be more in a Hog Roast type setting rather than something you can buy at the supermarket but you can get it.

it isn't supermarket. It is pulled pork sandwiches. Let me find a photo: http://a.dilcdn.com/bl/wp-content/uploads/sites/8/2012/04/slow-cooker-pulled-pork-1.jpg
this is not it, it is slow smoked, not cooked in a crock pot, but this may be what they are seeing. Like the image. Have you seen this?
Here this is it: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/e/e5/Pulled_pork_while_pulling.JPG/1280px-Pulled_pork_while_pulling.JPG served like the image above with coleslaw on a bun. Pink as it is cooked via smoking.

You're killing me JB. This is making my mouth water and I don't get lunch for 3 more hours! Mean!

By some strange and bizzare coincidence we have pulled pork burgers for dinner this evening, I bought them in the supermarket but that's the first time I've ever seen pulled pork here.

Since I don't believe in coincidence, then this must be a sign that you need to come to Virginia and stay with us and try award winning BBQ just down the road. :)
A BBQ road trip...ahhhh now there's an idea-r

I will head on over for some Texas Brisket in a heart beat...St Louis Sauce on the ribs...

and for you ex-Californians or current Californians or SW'ers, I just found Cotija on sale and am having it on some rolled tacos for lunch today.

The first Hard R ock Cafe was in London. It was started by a wealthy but homesick kid from Tennessee who flew in a fellow from his home town to slow cook the pork for pulled pork sandwiches.

JB - We went to a food & drink festival in England when we were there on our last trip. There was something sort of similar to our American pulled pork, but definitely not what we get here where I live in the South.
